On behalf of Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington, we have to say that due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the Girl Scout Christmas Breakfast for the Homeless, we are officially canceling the event for this year.
We were unable to organize an event this year which would provide an experience that our community has come to expect. We are looking to regroup in the coming spring for a full event in the winter of 2017.
Donations of food, clothing and toys which we have already received will be coordinated to be utilized by other groups within the Washington County area to get these items out to those who still have a need.
We will still be looking for committee members in the spring to help round out our team of volunteer leadership. Look forward to communication out to the volunteer base in the spring.
Please email us at email@example.com if you have any questions, concerns or want to help out in the upcoming year.

Please let us know if there are people or organizations that you feel might need to have the word spread to them. There is always a great need and we are happy to help as many as we can.

We are excited to announce that plans are in the works for the WCGSCB 2015 year. Last year we served well over 700 individuals on Christmas day, and couldn’t do it without the time and dedication of our planning committee, sponsors and volunteers.
While community outreach and donation planning is underway by a few dedicated volunteers, we are still in need of help on our planning committee. If you want to help out your larger community under the Girl Scouts umbrella, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We meet a couple times a month until the main event.
Also, look for set-up day and event day volunteer registration within the next couple weeks.
Looking forward to another great year!
